What’s the Best Restaurant in the World?

Everybody knows that Italy remains a prime culinary destination. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Osteria Francescana has won top accolades for 2018 World’s 50 Best Restaurants. The rankings are based on votes from more than 1,000 chefs, writers, and restaurateurs in the industry. In 2016 the restaurant received the same honors.

Located in the region of Emilia-Romagna, is the town of Modena, where the three-starred Michelin restaurant is located. Diners can enjoy traditional food with modern twists. An example is taking the local ingredients of balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese and combining it into a dish called Five Ages of Parmigiano Reggiano in which the cheese is served in a variety of textures, tastes, and temperatures.

Osteria Francescana offers menus a la-carte or through a 10-course tasting menu for 250 euros (about $290 per person) and a 12-course tasting menu for 270 euros (about $313 per person).
