Golf.com’s List of Top Golf Resorts in the World

Recently Golf.com came out with their list of their recommended Top 100 Resorts that also serves as stages for Tour events. Here is a partial list.

Pebble Beach Resorts, Pebble Beach, CA
It’s here that the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, part of the PGA Tour, is played. Thus far, it has hosted five U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship.

The American Club, Kohler, WI
Next summer of 2020, the Ryder Cup will be played here. It has also hosted PGA Championships.

Sea Island Resort, Sea Island, GA
Some of the pro golfers live on Sea Island which makes it no brainer to host the RSM Classic.

Albany, The Bahamas
Tiger Woods hosts the Hero World Challenge tournament which he has won five times. Also, Woods among other investors like Ernie Els and Justin Timberlake own homes here.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Big Island, HI
Head to the annual Mitsubishi Electric Championship.

Pinehurst Resort, Pinehurst, NC
Considered a top favorite among pros and amateurs, this Donald Ross designed course has been the stage for three U.S. Opens; a U.S. Senior Open; a U.S. Women’s Open; a PGA Championship; and a Ryder Cup.

Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort and Spa, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
TPC Sawgrass remains a great golf course, and every year, the Players Championship, draws top professional players.

The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, WV
Known as Old White, the course was recently restored and hosts the Greenbrier Classic, an annual PGA Tour event.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Kiawah Island, SC
Sure it was featured in the film The Legend of Bagger Vance, but the course also hosted the 2012 PGA Championship and the 1991 Ryder Cup.
